Ben Dalgleish has photographed wildlife across the globe, but it’s the wild, windswept shores of Shetland that truly captured his heart. A month-long stay in 2021 was all it took for Ben to fall so in love with Shetland that he had to make the move permanent, drawn by the creatures, the landscapes and the tight-knit community.

Now a full-time resident of the islands, Ben spends his days tracking and photographing killer whales, otters and, in the summer months, puffins and gannets, with his trusty border collie, Jess, never far behind.
